The total cable length of a SCSI chain includes the internal cabling in the MX-2424 itself, all carriers and drive bays connected and the cable used to connect between any external drive cases. The MX-2424 supports a maximum cable length of 6 feet.
This maximum length, however, is dependent on the quality of the SCSI cables in a chain.
