To synchronize digital audio software word clock is critical. The sync box should have word clock out so that the audio clocks are synced. Here is a typical setup example with the Steinberg TimeLock Pro. Connect the time code to the input. Connect the word clock out of the sync box to the word clock in of your audio card. Connect the MIDI out of the sync box to a MIDI interface. Let the software know that it is receiving MTC from the appropriate connection. Activate sync in the software.
