What are the advantages of a True Diversity System?
A true diversity system comprises of two antennas independently feeding two separate receiver circuits, which are housed in the same unit.
Because radio signals travel directly and indirectly from the transmitter to the antennas of the receiver, their strengths on arrival will vary as well as much the route travelled.
As signals are received the unit will “choose” the strongest signal for processing, this happens continually and instantly, helping to overcome problems of weak audio and blank spots.
In short, a true diversity system will have improved quality audio and better reliability than a comparable non-diversity system.
