Why am I getting “User data is damaged. Factory Reset.” message on my Boss DR-880
From www.rolandus.com:
After executing WRITE procedure for approximately 500 times, the message – “User data is damaged. Factory Reset” will appear when turning on the DR-880’s power, and the data stored in the user memory will be lost. This occurs when the total number of WRITE procedure exceeds 500 times, and it goes the same even if the power is turned off between times.
This is caused by the DR-880’s system software, and by upgrading it, the above problem will be solved.
The latest software version can be found at the Updates&Drivers page from the DR-880 product page.
