Why is the USB mode function greyed out so I cannot select it on my Roland V-Synth? I cannot get to use the USB storage mode.

This means you need to change the USB mode from MIDI to Storage. This basically changes the USB connection from being a MIDI interface to a USB storage drive. Here’s how:

Go to System – MIDI/USB – USB Setup, and change from MIDI to Storage, hit OK – Accept – Write/Execute.

You are now in USB Storage mode.

Do the same procedure to switch back to USB MIDI mode.
