I have a type 0 standard MIDI file how can I separate each MIDI channel on its own track in Cubase VST?

In the Cubase 5.0 series this can be automatically done in a preference. Go to Edit>Preferences>MIDI>MIDI files and make sure that explode type 0 MIDI file is checked. MIDI files can also be channel separated by going to the Structure>Explode by channel. This will explode the parts based around the left and right locators.
