Can I transfer data with a CDR between a BR8 and a VS-series HDR? What about between different VS-series units (eg, from VS1880HD to the VS2480HD
Data (on CD) will NOT transfer between the BR8 and the VS-Series recorders.
The Roland VS-series recorders are generally “backwords compatible” with respect to opening data files on CDR.
– The VS1680HD can open VS890EX, and VS880EX files
– The VS1880HD can open VS1680HD, VS890EX, and VS880EXfiles
– The VS2480HD can open CDR’s from any older unit.
The VS2480HD Can create files compatible with older units, by using the “song expport” function. There, you can choose format type (VS890, VS1690, etc)
