The sync light is cycling steadily red/blue on the Firepod, what is going on?

This is most likely the result of having the clock source in the control panel for the Firepod set to “S/PDIF”, which means that the Firepod is trying to sync to S/PDIF digital input (the RCA type connector on the back of the Firepod).

If you are not using the S/PDIF digital input you should select the “Internal” clock source in the control panel in order to achieve sync.

If you do have the clock set to “Internal” and are still experiencing this problem, you should uninstall the Firepod drivers, reboot the computer, and install the drivers again (paying close attention to all instructions and any error messages that may come up). If this problem persists, you should contact tech support.

(PC only) This can also be due to a bad or incomplete installation. Uninstall the PreSonus Firepod drivers using the Add/Remove Programs application in the Control Panel and reboot the system. Now try to install the Firepod drivers again, paying very close attention to all instructions and take note of any error messages if any come up. Also, be sure that during the installation no antivirus or spyware programs are running. If the drivers will not install properly at this point, you should contact PreSonus technical support.
