How do I sync Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 and my Adat with my Aardvark Aark24?
First, make sure your 9-pin Adat sync cable connects from your Aark24 to the Adat. In your Aark Manager, IO Levels, turn Adat Sync ON. Go into Cakewalk, Options – Project – Clock and change Source to SMPTE/MTC. Go to Midi Out tab, check Transmit MMC. This will have Cakewalk tell the Adat to start, and Cakewalk will actually link up and slave to the Adat’s timecode.
