Why does Symphony I/O have USB 2.0 and not FireWire?
USB 2.0 offers the same great performance as FireWire with up to 16 channels at 96kHz. Also, with Symphony I/O connected to the USB bus, this allows for FireWire external hard drives to be connected to the FireWire bus eliminating any conflict between the two.
