In the SampleCell Editor, I closed a bank I had finished working on and then tried to load a new bank/instrument, but the SampleCell Editor tells me that there is not enough memory to load the sample. This cannot be true, because it is a small bank/instrument and my SampleCell II Plus card has 32 MB of RAM. What is going on?

The samples and bank/instrument information from the last bank/instrument you loaded are still in memory even though you closed the previous bank/instrument. Go to “SampleCell”>Preferences and check the box for “Automatically delete unused samples after deleting an instrument or closing a bank.” Checking this box will free up your SampleCell’s RAM after you delete an instrument or close a bank, allowing you to load new banks/instruments. The “Delete Unused Samples” command in the SampleCell menu can also be used to clear out SampleCell’s RAM.
