When I try to run Kontakt with my ProTools HD system after creating an IAC description, the first MIDI channel works fine, but as soon as I enable a second MIDI channel for recording in ProTools, the system freezes and forces you to restart.
As mentioned in your reference guide you must make sure in Pro Tools menu MIDI -> MIDI intput devices not to receive MIDI from IAC bus. Otherwise a MIDI loop will occur when recording on a channel different from channel 1.
