I’m getting random clicks and pops from the analog inputs of my Digidesign 003 when I record-enable a track. What can I do?
We have seen that some 003s will produce a random click or pop in the audio signal when a track assigned to an analog input is record-enabled. This will happen even when no other digital gear is connected to the 003 and ProTools’ clock is set to “Internal.” This problem seems to be firmware-related.
The solution for this is to download and install ProToolsLE 7.4cs3 or above. The fix for this was introduced in 7.4cs3 and will be included in all subsequent versions.
