My Primera Printer is not printing – The printed file appears in the print queue and then disappears after a few moments.

A. Install the latest version of the printer driver. Earlier versions of the BravoPro, SE, XRP, LX800/810/400 drivers may have this problem.

B. If using Windows Vista, try turning off User Account Control. Go to Control Panel – User Accounts. Please note that Microsoft does not recommend turning off this feature and the printer should print with User Account Control turned on. However, this has fixed this problem in certain circumstances.

C. Recreate the Windows XP profile:

1. Log off the current user.

2. Log on as another user with administrative rights to the local computer.

3. Try printing or burning or attempt whatever action you where unable to do logged in as the other user. If this action works while logged in as administrator or another user with administrative rights, there may be an unknown corruption of the other user profile.

4. To fix this, while still in the Admin profile, browse to C:\Documents and Settings.

5. Each folder in the Documents and Settings folders represents a user account/profile that has been setup on this computer. Typically the name of the folder is the same as the username of the profile. Find the folder corresponding to the affected user.

6. Rename this folder (Example – “JohnSmith” Rename to “JohnSmithold”)

7. Log out of Admin user and back into original user. Logging into the original user after the folder was renamed will force XP to create a new folder with out affecting the contents of the old folder.

8. Printer drivers will need to be reinstalled if the corresponding Printer was not connected when you logged into the profile. Shortcuts to programs may need to be recreated

9. Try printing or burning or attempt whatever action you were initially unable to do.

10. If it works, you may want to copy favorites, desktops items and any items in My Documents back over to your current folder. To copy, browse to C:\Documents and Settings. Find the folder that you renamed old.(“JohnSmithold”) Open it up and find the items you want. Copy and paste them into the new folder. (“JohnSmith”) Copy as little information back to the new profile as possible to avoid copying files that may have initially caused the problem.
