When I play my Roland GR33 into a sequencer, I get doubled notes or it sounds like phasing. What is this?
You should turn Local Mode off. A full description of this mode and what it does is on page 94 of your manual. Local Mode basically means that the synth will play sounds when you play the guitar. Turning it off while connected to an external sequencer (either standalone or computer) will make the sequencer echo the MIDI back to the synth section of the GR33 and it will play the correct sound as normal. If Local Mode is ON during sequencing, the synth will play the sound when you play the guitar, the MIDI will be sent to the sequencer, echoed back to the GR33, and it will play the same sound again just a few milliseconds later, causing a phasing or doubling sound.
