Why won’t the PCM81 lock to an incoming Digital Signal
Check your cables. DO NOT USE ANALOG AUDIO CABLE TO CONNECT DIGITAL AUDIO.
Digital Format: S/PDIF (CP-340 Type II) Consumer Digital Audio I/O. This interface is unbalanced but because it carries digital signals, it requires the use of 75ohm coaxial cable. Audio grade cable is not necessarily 75ohm and is therefore unsuitable. 75ohm video-grade cable is generally suitable.
Check configuration in Control Mode, Row 0 Audio, 0.0 Word Clock: Use ADJUST to select Ext (External).
