How much music does iPod hold?

iPod has a storage capacity of 5 GB or 10 GB. (1) The amount of music it can hold depends on the compression rate of your songs. At 128 kilobits per second (Kbps), the most common compression rate used for MP3s, 10 GB is equivalent to approximately 2600 four-minute songs, or 260 CDs, and 5 GB is equivalent to approximately 1300 four-minute songs, or 130 CDs. At the near-CD-quality 160 Kbps compression rate (the default setting for encoding MP3s in iTunes), 10 GB equals approximately 2000 four-minute songs, or 200 CDs, and 5 GB equals approximately 1000 four-minute songs, or 100 CDs.
