More on obtaining the system version of your Roland XV-5080
In the 11/13 issue of inSync we warned you that checking the ROM version of your Roland XV-5080 will cause a hard reset to be performed. We have since discovered there is more than one way to check this. Power the unit on while holding the EXIT button. When the SYSTEM/UTILITY LED lights red, press and hold PREVIEW/VOLUME and release the EXIT button. The version number should be displayed without causing a reset. Also in software version 1.12 and above you can view the version number from the main system info screen.
