Meters OV1 Firmware Update Instructions

How to update the firmware on Meters OV1 headphones

In this guide we will provide detailed instructions on how to update the firmware on your Meters OV1 headphones. You will need an iOS device, as the firmware update is performed via the Meters Connect app. Follow the instructions below to get started.

  1. Download the Meters Connect app
  2. Perform the firmware update

Download the Meters Connect app

To update the firmware on your Meters OV1 headphones, the first thing you’ll need to do is download the Meters Connect app on your iOS device. The app is available on the App Store and Google Play Store.

Meters Connect App Store Download

Download the app from the App Store

Meters Connect Google Play Download

Download the app from the Google Play Store.

Perform the firmware update

IMPORTANT: please do not exit the app, answer calls, turn your mobile device or your headphones off during this time or else the firmware will fail to be updated.

Once the app is installed, you can now perform the firmware update. Please note that the update takes approximately 15-20 minutes so be patient.

  1. Turn off your headphones, hold the plus (+) and minus () buttons at the same time.
  2. Turn your headphones on then off. The LED will go purple.
    • Your headphones have now been restored back to factory settings.
  3. Connect to USB power and wait for the red light to appear, then wait until it has turned off.
    • Make sure you forget the headphones from your device.
  4. Once the red light has gone off, open your device and turn on your headphones.
  5. Pair the headphones via the Bluetooth settings as you would with any other headphones.
  6. Go to the app and connect as this will trigger the update and ensure your phone is only doing the update (don’t exit the app, make/answer phone calls, etc.) and keep the headphones connected to power via USB.

Forget the iOS device

iPhone users then need to forget the device in Bluetooth settings by clicking the (i) button next to your headphones and choosing Forget this device. You can now re-pair your headphones as you did before.
