I purchased a Mac G4 turnkey audio system from Sweetwater, and I’m having problems getting on the Internet. What should I do?

*** This applies specifically to systems custom configured by Sweetwater ***

When your G4 audio system was configured by Sweetwater’s Install department, an extensions set was made specifically for digital audio and midi operations. Some internet extensions and drivers have been disabled in order to avoid conflicts.
Here’s how you can switch your Mac for Internet use:

1.QUIT all applications
2. From the Apple Menu, choose Control Panels, and select Extensions Manager.
3. The “Selected Set” will say something like “MOTU Set”, “Protools Set”, “Logic Set”, etc….
4. Click the name of the Selected set to view the pop-up of choices. You should see an extensions set called “Internet Set”…. select this set.
5. Restart the computer to make the Internet Set active.
6 You should now be able to use internet applications and configure your setup. If you have difficulties, we recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider.

7. When you’d like to use your music applications again, you’ll need to use Extensions Managare to switch from “Internet” to your music set (Protools, MOTU, etc.), and restart.
