I lost my Midi in Giga 3 from my RME HSDSP 9652( or other RME model)Audio card
GS3 overwrites the MIDI information of some soundcards in the Windows registry. There are two ways to fix this:
Solution 1
1. Uninstall GigaStudio3 if you have it installed.
2. Make sure your RME midi is working (may have to
reinstall the driver).
3. Start Menu>Run> type “regedit”
4. Go to \\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Drivers32\
5. On the right side find the entry “Midi”
6. Right mouse click in the word Midi and Choose “Rename”
7. change the name to “Midi1”
(this should have the value hdspmme.dll).
8. Quit the Registry
9. Now re: install GS3.
Solution 2
1. Make sure to download the latest patch for Gigastudio and your soundcard drivers (chances are your CD is a few versions outdated, this is typical)
2. Uninstall Gigastudio in Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs
3. Uninstall your audio card
4. Reboot your machine
5. Reinstall your audio card’s drivers
6. Follow the Registry modification below
7. Re-install Gigastudio
8. Update Gigastudio
