Initializing your software on a Digi 001 system
A quick tip for Digi 001 users. Upon your first launch of Pro Tools LE after the install, the program will initialize. This can take several minutes. In rare cases we’ve seen it take more than 20 minutes. Do not assume your computer has crashed and reset it. After a while the process will complete by asking you to enter your serial number. Once you do this the program is fully authorized and ready to go. From then on it will boot up in a matter of seconds. If you do reset your computer while it is initializing we recommend you run the entire installer from scratch again. If you had Sweetwater install your system, this process has already been taken care of for you. Digidesign is allegedly working on ways to speed up the initialization process.
