I’m getting errors when trying to update the firmware on my Arturia BeatStep on a Mac.
If you are receiving errors while trying to perform a firmware update on your Arturia BeatStep, try the following:
- Plug your BeatStep into your computer.
- Launch Audio MIDI Setup. You can find Audio MIDI Setup in Applications > Utilities.
- Open the MIDI window by choosing it from the Window menu at the top of your screen.
- Find the BeatStep in the MIDI window. It could be called “Arturia BeatStep,” “BeatStep Updater,” or, in some rare cases, “Unknown Device.”
- Unplug the BeatStep.
- Delete the device from the MIDI window.
- Try the firmware update again.
