How do I update the firmware on my Line 6 AMPLIFi?

These instructions are for updating the AMPLIFi with the iOS remote app. For instructions on updating via your PC, click here.

Before getting started, please make sure your iOS device has a consistent connection to a cellular or Wi-Fi network and that there is at least a 50% charge on the battery. It is also recommended that you leave your iOS device idle and within close proximity to the AMPLIFi to ensure there are no interruptions to the update process.

To update the firmware:

1. Pair your iOS device with your AMPLIFi. If you’re not sure how, see this article.
2. Launch the AMPLIFi Remote app. If you don’t have it, you can find it on the Apple App Store.
3. Log in to your Line 6 user account. If you don’t have one, you can make one at www.line6.com or with the link provided in the app.
4. Once the app is launched and you are signed in, tap the “Menu” icon in the upper left corner.
5. Tap the “Settings” icon in the lower left of the menu.
6. From the “Settings” menu, tap the option labeled “Amp Flash.”
7. You will now see the updates available for your AMPLIFi. To begin the update process, simply tap the Update button and allow 10-20 minutes for the update to complete.

If for any reason the firmware is interrupted or unsuccessful, the AMPLIFi may display symptoms such as all of the LEDs being lit or flashing. If this happens, try the update again. You can also review Bluetooth connectivity troubleshooting information here.
