How do I update the firmware on my Arturia MiniBrute SE?

There are two methods for updating the firmware on your Arturia MiniBrute. Both methods require the MiniBrute Connection software. The latest version can be found here.

To update the firmware:

• Click the Check Update button. This will launch your web browser which will directly guide you to the latest version available. If the version online is newer than the version that the MiniBrute Connection software shows, download, extract, and install the newer version.
• You can also manually update the firmware by clicking Update Firmware. This process only takes a few seconds and will install whichever firmware is included in the MiniBrute Connection app. The octave LEDs will show activity to let you know it’s updating. Do not disconnect your MiniBrute while this process is taking place! Once the update is complete, you must reboot your MiniBrute first, then click OK on the “Firmware update: complete” message.

Troubleshooting:

If you cannot establish a connection between your computer and your MiniBrute after attempting a firmware update, you did not reboot before clicking OK. To resolve this:

1. Close the MiniBrute Connection software.
2. Reboot the MiniBrute.
3. Launch the software and try again.

If the update process was interrupted for any reason, follow the steps below to restore your MiniBrute:

1. Close the MiniBrute Connection software.
2. Reboot the MiniBrute while pressing down the octave Down and Up buttons. All octave LEDs will be lit.
3. Launch the MiniBrute Connection software. You will be prompted for the automatic firmware update. Press cancel.
4. Enter into Firmware Update view and run the manual update.
5. Reboot the MiniBrute, then click OK. Your MiniBrute should now be fully restored and updated.
