Having trouble updating your Kemper Profiling Amp?
- The first thing you need to do to ensure maximum reliability with the update is to completely empty your USB flash drive. You can do this by deleting everything on it via your computer (if you are running a Mac, you will also have to empty the trash while your USB drive is selected). This is a very important step. Please make sure to do this.
- The next step is to take your empty USB drive and plug it into the Kemper Profiling Amp. The amp will now format the USB drive so that it is compatible with the the amp.
- If you have not already done so, download the update on your computer. You can find the update at www.kemperamps.com/start.
- Once the update is downloaded, expand the .zip folder and locate the file called “kaos.bin.” Plug the newly formatted USB drive back into your computer. Copy the “kaos.bin” file over to the “OS Update” folder on the USB drive.
- Remove the USB drive from your computer and plug it into the Kemper Profiling Amp. A set of instructions will appear on the screen after a few moments telling you what to do from there to successfully update your amp.
