GLYPH 40X CDROM DRIVES WITH KURZWEIL KEYBOARDS
K2500/K2600 and Glyph CDROM40 Drives
There is a compatibilty issue with the Glyph CDROM40 and K2500/K2600 units. (The 32 speed drive and lower speed drives work fine.)
1. Connect the Kurzweil and CD-ROM drive via SCSI.
Make sure termination is correct.
2. Power up both units.
3. Put CD-ROM into CD-ROM drive.
Wait a minute.
3. Turn off only the Kurzweil.
4. Turn the Kurzweil back on.
5. Go to DISK Mode and see if CD-ROM shows up.
(If not, repeat power cycling of Kurzweil until CD shows up.)
6. Hit Load. Kurzweil should read the CD. If it doesn’t and says “Problem mounting disk”, change “Current drive” to another SCSI ID (any other one will do) and then back to the CD-ROM drive’s ID.
7. Hit Load again. It should read the CD-ROM and the Load dialog will continue.
Note: Toggling between the CD-ROM’s SCSI ID and other IDs in the DISK Mode’s “Current disk” parameter often helps the Kurzweil to see the CD-ROM drive and read the CD-ROM.
