How do I use the equalization (EQ) feature of the new iPod software?
The iPod is the only MP3 player in the world that supports both equalization presets and per-song equalization. The iPod comes standard with over 20 equalization presets that can enhance your listening experience. For example, if you frequently listen to jazz, you can set the equalization to Jazz, which will subtly enhance the audio frequencies most typically used in jazz music. You’ll find the equalization presets in the Settings menu on any iPod running iPod software version 1.1. Unlike other digital music players, you can also assign equalizer presets on a song-by-song basis in iTunes, then sync with your iPod to download those settings.
