Why does the EMU Emulator-X crash when loading samples from my Serial ATA hard drive (SATA)?
As of October 2004, there is a known bug with a few SATA controllers on certain motherboards that causes a crash when loading samples from a SATA drive. There is a fix in the works, check Emu’s website for an update. Until a patch is released, you can use standard parallel ATA (IDE) drives to store your Emulator X content.
