A contact, or multiple contacts, does not appear in the Contacts list even though the vCard appears in the Contacts folder on iPod.
1. Make sure the vCard is in a compatible vCard format, either 2.1 or 3.0.
2. Make sure the vCard was copied to the Contacts folder. The name of the folder must be spelled correctly. It is not case sensitive.
3. Use Mac OS X’s Address Book application to make a vCard. Copy this card to iPod’s Contacts folder and see if it appears.
4. Reset iPod.
