– Connect your HD24 and computer with a Category-5 “crossover” ethernet cable. Then follow these steps.
1. On your computer: -Click “Start” -Click on “Control Panel”
2. Double-click “Network Connections”, then Right click on “Local Area Connection” for the Ethernet port and choose”Properties”
3. Make sure that “Internet Protocol TCP/IP” is there and checked, if not, click the “Install” button, and install this protocol.
4. Double-click on “Internet Protocol TCP/IP”. There, choose “Use the following IP address” Ensure your computers settings are:
IP Address – 192.168.001.101
Subnet – 255.255.255.0
Gateway – 192.168.001.101
The only other thing is to ensure the user name and password are “anonymous” in your FTP program, unless you have previously changed them in the HD24.
5. Now, put the HD24 into FTP Server Mode. See page 75-76 to set the HD24 and place into sever mode. Those two pages step you right through those settings.

* Check out the HD24 manual page 84 which explains using Explorer on your PC *
