Can I connect the MidiSport to an Apple G3/G4 on a USB HUB?
Yes, you can use a USB Hub if it is a self-power hub* ; one that plugs into an AC power outlet of its own. USB hubs that draw their power from the computer don’t work well.
The trick to making a MIDISport work on a powered USB hub is to have the MIDISport connected directly to the G3/G4 while installing drivers and setting up OMS** . Once OMS is setup – detecting the MidiSport automatically. You can shut down the computer and connect the MidiSport to the HUB, then restart.
