How do I configure iDrum for Multi-Channel Outputs?
In multi-channel mode iDrum does allow you to select up to 8 different stereo output options for each drum channel. (Aux 1-7 and Main) However, this only works in multi-channel mode and it must be used in a host application that also supports multi-channel plug-ins.
1. Open iDrum in multi-channel mode on an Instrument Track.
2. Open the Channel Inspector drawer in iDrum by clicking on the Info button in the master section.
3. Select the iDrum channel you wish to route to its own output.
4. Change output from “Main” to “Aux 1”
5. Create a new Audio Track in your host application for each corresponding Aux Output.
6. Select the iDrum plug-in “Aux 1” as the input of the new Audio track.
Please refer to your Host Sequencer’s reference manual for specific information and instructions on how to go about setting up Multi-Channel instruments.
iDrum (1.0.6 and later) supports multiple outputs in Pro Tools 6.7 and up, as well as Logic Express and Pro, Ableton Live 4 and up, and Digital Performer 4.6 and up.
