Clicking, popping, dropouts, or error message with Liquid Mix while using a Firewire audio interface.
This can be caused by using the same Firewire controller for both devices. To alleviate the issue, Liquid Mix should be on its own separate controller. On Mac towers, this can be done by having the Liquid Mix plugged in to either the front or back port, by itself, with nothing daisy-chained to it, or by adding a dedicate PCI card. On a PC, it is best to have the Liquid Mix on its own dedicated Firewire PCI or PCI-e card.
