Why can’t I run Tascam MX2424’s Viewnet software on my Pentium 4 Windows computer?
There is a bug in the Java language on which Viewnet runs on Pentium 4 computers, not a bug in the Viewnet software itself. There is a fix at this site:
http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/jre/download-jre-windows.html
This is approximately a 2.8mb file and version 1.1.8_009, and will install another version of Java on your computer which should fix the problem with Viewnet software.
