Background Applications:
When Windows finishes launching, too many applications can automatically be started and use up many system resources. Click on the Start button and then click on “Run.” In the “open” box, type in msconfig and then press OK. Once the System Configuration Utility opens, click on the “Startup” tab and uncheck EVERY ITEM except for “System Tray” and anything that pertains to your Sound Card. Some computers may require additional applications remain enabled.
