How can I get my AutoTune3 to show up as a DirectX plugin for Windows?
First, try running the DirectX Register program in Start – Programs – AutoTune3. This will install it as a DirectX plugin for the entire system.
If you are using a Sonic Foundry product, they have incorporated their own DirectX listing of your DirectX plugins, and it may not be registered there. This is a more involved process, but here are the basics. This involves going into your system registry, so it is not for novice users, if you are not comfortable editing your registry, you might want to call Sonic Foundry or Sweetwater Tech Support for help in doing this.
Go to Start – Run, and type Regedit. Go to H_Key_Localmachine, Software, Sonic Foundry, and delete DXCACHE, and reboot. This will force your Sonic Foundry software to re-search for plugins.
