Although not consistent, it appears that one or more of my 192 I/O’s does not initialize properly. I can tell this when the Sync and Sample Rate lights don’t come on. Pro Tools will not recognize the interfaces and I am forced to restart the computer to get things to work.I am using a Expansion Chassis.
Allowing the chassis to warm up for 30 seconds or more BEFORE powering on the interfaces seems to have solved this problem for one customer.
This behavior has only been seen when using a PCI expansion chassis.
