Spacious and Adaptable to Any Effects Chain

D'Addario's XPND Large Pedalboard gives you all the real estate you could ever ask for in a pedalboard. Gigging musicians here at Sweetwater love the patented telescoping technology of this board — making last-minute additions and subtractions to your pedal chain is fast and easy. Its convenient adjustability proves not only useful for quick changes during soundcheck, but also for minimizing or maximizing the amount of space you want to occupy in your home studio or practice space. With pedal safety and efficient loading in mind, the XPND's mounted rubber feet and lightweight aluminum body combine for both performance stability and ease-of-transport between gigs. Pairing nicely with D'Addario's separately sold Backline Transport Bag, you'll always be one step ahead when it comes to the grueling process of loading and unloading.

D'Addario XPND Pedalboard — Large Features:

  • Large, double-row design to accommodate larger effects setups
  • Expandable and retractable telescoping engineering for adding and subtracting pedals and effects with ease
  • Excellent for onstage use as well as for circuit building in practice/studio areas
  • Mounted rubber feet and lightweight aluminum structure are great for stability and reduced strain during transport
  • Travel made even easier with D'Addario's Backline Transport Bag (sold separately)

Reviews

fits everything perfectly
I like the feature of the expandable option. If I want to change up my board to something smaller maybe to go over a friends house or to travel with my board the option us there
In my case I own over 100 pedals and finally settled on my perfect board...for now.

Rock solid!
Got my pedalboard a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier. As someone who's constantly trying out news pedals or customizing to suit my current needs I wanted something large enough to accommodate a large rig and, but I also wanted a smaller setup when needed. As soon as I saw the Xpand series board I wanted one, but I thought the sliding section seemed dubious and wondered how solid it could be. Finally I decided to roll with it and see for my self if it could be that versatile and still be solid. All I can say is wow.
Little background on me, I'm a journeyman tool and die maker who works with metal everyday doing precision work and I can say without bias that this is good metalworking. Extruded aluminum crossbeams and thick aluminum support sections make this thing a beast. I know this for a fact because once I assembled it, which kudos to the engineering team since it goes together easily, with the sliding sections moving smoothly and without binding and all the drilled holes are perfectly chamfered and burr free, I stood on this hog. Not a creek, groan, popped screw or bent section. I'm 6'1" and let's just say not skinny. I think it's say to say that with normal wear and tear, this board will last somewhere in the region of around 2 maybe 3 centuries. You're great, great grandchildren will thank you.
The plastic sliding sections that go between the beams make tucking away cables and power lines a breeze and adjusting the width of the board is as simple as lifting two lock handles. Great feature by the way since there's one on the top beam and one on the bottom making sure that it locks evenly. Very happy with this purchase and I would recommend it to anyone.
Not Just For Gigging Guitarists
I'm just a dude that likes to jam. I'm not in a band, so I'm not out gigging where a pedalboard would make life much easier than packing/unpacking a ton of pedals. However, this pedalboard has solved a few things that were bugging me about just running my pedal chain Willy nilly on the floor.

1) Movability. The old setup was a nightmare to move more than a few feet where you could just kinda slide the whole thing across the floor. My main setup is in the room where we put our Christmas tree. Christmas is right around the corner and being able to just pickup one thing and move it is a game changer.

2) Secureness. This one is actually huge. The old setup allowed the pedals to move around and that would cause the patch cables to wiggle around which would cause all sorts of sound problems. Sometimes the sound would be way quieter than normal because something got wiggled around and I'd have to kick at the pedals to fix it. NO MORE!

3) Cleanliness. So much easier to vacuum the floor around the pedals with the board. Just lift it up and vacuum. The old set up where everything was floppy just didn't do the trick.

I bought the Large size. I currently have nine pedals on the board (with room for more). I have it extended to 29" so there's still a few more inches of room to extend to if need be.

Pedals: Boss TU-3, Ibanez WD7 Wah, Boss Metal Zone, Boss DS-1, Boss Fuzz, Boss Blues Driver, JHS Notaklön, Boss Octave, and a Boss RC-10R.

Most of my patch cables are the regular profile that are bulkier. You could definitely squeeze in some more stuff if you used the low profile patch cables (I think EBS makes some).

I'm not running any fancy power to the board because I don't need to. I'm just running everything like I did with the old setup. But, there's room underneath the board to house power etc if you want to go that route. There's Velcro on both the top side and underside of the board.

Assembly wasn't hard. Everything you need is provided. I'm glad I got this board. It does the job well.

Perfect for small gig, fits about a dozen effect pedals.
For my DIY pedalboard project, I went from pedaltrain Metro 18 to this amazing expandable pedalboard by D'Addario. It comes with velcro and some plastic parts for cable management. Plenty of room underneath for multiple power supply (I have 2 voodoo lab powerplus 2).
XPND Pedal board
Great design. I told Zach what I was looking for and he recommended this board. I asked him to ship it and I absolutely loved this board. It's made extremely well.It was easy to assemble and I love the fact that the female velcro was already on bouth top and bottom of the cross bars. This pedal board is a well thought out design and comes with a great system of securing the wiring too.through the years I've accumulated alot of pedals some I liked right away some sat in boxes because at the time U didn't appreciate them. With this board I can mix and match try different orders on different guitars and amps with a lot of pedals finding the right set up for me It's worth the money and will last a lifetime. It also has enough hight to get your power supply under it easily.
