The case is fine. Nothing fancy, does what you want it to do. Build is better than some of the cheaper mic flight cases you can find.

Be warned it does NOT fit the original WA-87's wooden mic box or the shock mount. I'm not sure why they would give it a different sized box...or use a different sized mount...but they did. I would assume the size of the original wa-87 and and the r2 would be the same.

Anyhoo, I knew this was a possibility and took the chance anyway. Unfortunately I was right.

However, I chose to keep the case and just mod/cut the rubber (see pics). It's not the prettiest, but it works, and I like having the branded case. Do this at your own risk as if you do, you void any chance of returning it.
