Professional ADAM Monitoring for Your Studio

As a member of the T Series, ADAM Audio’s line of professional 2-way active studio monitors, the T7V features a 7-inch polypropylene low-frequency driver that delivers bass extension down to an impressive 39Hz, while the company's U-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter provides pristine highs extended up to 25kHz – quite remarkable for a monitor in this price range. The tweeter's broad, uniform dispersion pattern is assisted by a precision waveguide modeled on the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in ADAM’s premium S Series studio monitors, which provides an impressively wide sweet spot that liberates you from being constrained to a rigid listening position.

The T7V’s beveled cabinet features a rear-firing bass reflex port affixed to a thick metal backplate that houses the analog input connections and DSP-controlled driver crossovers and equalization. The woofer's 50W Class D amplifier, in combination with the 20W Class D tweeter amp, enables a pair of T7Vs to achieve an impressive maximum SPL of 110dB at one meter. Lastly, the T7V’s extended frequency response, robust dynamic range, exemplary transient response, broad sweet spot, and compact footprint make it ideally suited for use in small control rooms for music production, video post, and broadcast applications.

7" polypropylene low-frequency driver

The drivers in ADAM Audio studio monitors benefit from years of in-house research and development and take advantage of the latest advances in technology and materials science. The woofer in the T7V is engineered to deliver optimized low-frequency reproduction with extended dynamic range and freedom from coloration. It incorporates a rigid, yet low-mass polypropylene driver cone; a highly efficient magnet assembly and precisely aligned voice coil; and an optimized driver chassis/basket design. The T7V's 7" woofer response extends down to 39Hz, making the speaker a suitable choice for nearfield monitoring in small control rooms, with or without a subwoofer. If more low-end extension is desirable, ADAM Audio's Sub8 and Sub7 subwoofers pair perfectly with the T7V.

The U-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter

Instead of producing sound with a piston-like diaphragm like most loudspeakers, ADAM Audio's U-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter uses a pleated diaphragm that prevents distortion by moving air four times faster than the folds themselves are moving. Built to the tightest tolerances, the U-ART tweeter delivers ultra-low distortion and extends the frequency range up to 25kHz, enriching the soundfield with stunning detail and faithfully conveying every nuance of the source material so you can work over long periods without listening fatigue.

ADAM Audio: elevating the state of the art

From its 1999 launch in Berlin, ADAM Audio has built a solid reputation among the pro audio cognoscente. Sweetwater knows that a superior speaker system has superior components, and this is one area where the company has a distinct edge. With years of R&D behind each proprietary driver, ADAM Audio's custom driver technology expresses itself in breakthroughs such as their X-ART (eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology) tweeter, which is based on a groundbreaking 1960s invention, the Heil Air Motion Transformer — and in fact, was the main impetus for the formation of ADAM Audio. The X-ART tweeter became the key to ADAM's signature transparent, high-definition sound; and the core development of ADAM’s proprietary designs going forward.

Embracing, exploiting, and working with modern materials has allowed ADAM Audio to formulate loudspeaker components that continually elevate the state of the art in studio monitor design. Materials such as rare-earth magnets and high-strength diaphragm foils have increased reliability, enhanced performance, and made possible new driver geometry. As compared with conventional driver technology, Adam drivers deliver optimized radiation characteristics, lower distortion, and higher efficiency. Along with installations in a growing number of top studios, ADAM Audio's monitor range has garnered rave reviews from audio experts and recording engineers worldwide. If you're considering an upgrade to world-class monitoring, you'll be in good company with ADAM Audio monitors.

Reviews

Great affordable, high quality powered studio monitors
These are very nice monitors for a home or small project studio. They seem neutral and fairly full frequency, other than the ultra low bass. I use them with a sub and they cover most of the rest of the frequencies very well. In a small space they could suffice without a sub and it would depend on the type of source material that you're mixing. With a good monitor, you want to hear your mixes as uncolored as possible and these accomplish that. My only knock would be that the volume pots do not have detents to get each side at the a matching volumes, so you have to eyeball it to set levels, but that seems to work just fine. There are small eq adjustments for highs and lows around back that allow you to fine tune them for your space. They are ported, so placement tight against a wall will affect the bass output balance. I have mine about 2 feet out from the wall with little or no bass emphasis. They seem solid, well made and I think they look nice and professional. I think that they're priced well for the quality you get.

Killer Monitors
Thees monitors are really great. I feel like they hit way above Thier price point. As always the service I get from my main man Nick Graham up there at Sweetwater is top notch. I cannot recommend these enough.

Wow.
I'm a producer transitioning into professional vocal tracking and mixing. After MANY years of working on my trusty old Rokits, my ears told me it was time for an upgrade. As I grew to understand Flat Frequency Response, I also began to realize why professionals claim they are colored or "amateur-sounding"…

After some research and reviews I narrowed my decision down the Yamaha HS8 pair or the ADAM T7V pair, once I saw the T7V subwoofer bundle there was just no way I could pass it up. You can never go wrong with German engineering! ;)

"Should be a decent little step up" I thought… I had some idea of how they might sound from reviews…

During my very first listen, everything freshly hooked out of the box (treated room, ZERO calibration)… BLOWN AWAY. The high end + low end + stereo image and depth + loudness + sleek build, man all I can say is that I've seriously been missing out for years by using my old gear.

After calibrating, these have the cleanest, most even, CRISPY sound in my room, and the T10S ties it all together with serious deep, accurate bass. This setup has single-handedly given me an entirely new perspective on music creation, I am forever grateful to ADAM Audio

Excellent Studio Monitors
I have been using a pair of Kali LP-6's as my main monitor setup for the last couple years and they've been really good, especially at their price point, but when I got the Adam Audio T7V's hooked up and was able to A/B them side by side, it's a world of difference. These are so crisp and clear and I never thought the Kali's sounded muffled until I heard them beside these. I still use the Kali's as reference monitors, but the T7V's will stay my main setup for a long time. I was looking into either getting these or a pair of Focals, and although I have not been able to compare these side by side with a focal set, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and glad I went with Adam Audio.

Worth every penny
I was using JBL 2308s for over ten years in treated and untreated rooms. No matter what I did nothing would translate. I always felt like I had cotton in my ears. I got to the point where I was tempted to mix solely on headphones. Before I full made the move I ordered these and wow they are amazing. When setup properly and in a treated room they are stellar.

Excellent lows, not overly hyped highs, crisp transients, and a great stereo image. These are an unbelievable steal for the money.
