Unmatched loop and preset control

Housing five banks to accommodate five separate effects loops is a monstrous undertaking, but the Switchboard Effects Operator makes it look easy. Each relay loop can speedily rearrange your entire pedal path should you like to change up the signal flow, providing maximum board management with zero headaches. Aboard the Switchboard Effects Operator, you can access 400 quick-recall user presets, with an extra 100 favorite presets waiting on standby. Each loop’s quality Send/Return jacks are dutifully lined up at the back panel of the Switchboard Effects Operator, flanked on the left by general I/O jacks and on the right by available Expression Pedal and amplifier Footswitch connections for quickly expanding the operational appeal of your unit. Next to this grid of 1/4-inch connections are MIDI out and USB-C connections, allowing users to engage and command their outboard gear effortlessly.

The top panel, however, poses a control board that’s as charming to look at as it is easy to use. With its gold-finished top plate, stylish encoder knob, built-in tuner, and clearly marked banks and commands, effects users of all stripes can navigate the Switchboard Effects Operator’s waters in style and with total ease. Courtesy of its all-analog, high-fidelity operation with true bypass looping and extremely powerful processing, every nuance of your hard-fought-for tones is represented with truly clear and accurate translation. Also to thank is its dual I/O buffering, providing complete tonal preservation that’s entirely free of loss due to frequency roll-off so your original sonic vision is exactly what you and your audiences experience.

The Switchboard has changed everything!
I've gone all Fender for my Rig. I'm utilizing every Loop and the TRS Out for the Footswitch with my Princeton to engage the Reverb and Tremolo. Loop 1 is sending out to the Reverb Tank/Tape Echo going straight into the amp! Every Fender Pedal on the board has its own Loop and can be arranged in many different combinations, without rearranging the board a million times! The rig is sounding extremely wavey and dreamy these days :)

Great upgrade from Hotone strip switcher
Was looking at Gig Rig atom but lead time and expense kept me looking. Switchboard Operator came out just in time...so far it sounds great and has been fairly easy to set up. Only small negative is that is doesn't have a dedicated tuner out but I can live with that by just changing my old routing. Price is right for the capabilities Switchboard has.

Awesome Effects Switcher and MIDI controller.
First of all, my sales rep is awesome. Tony Watson is very knowledgeable. He deserves a raise LOL. 1) It is easy to get going. I did not get a chance to program presets before playing, but it was very easy to set up the amp control and the loops for loop playing. 2) I was kind of bummed that there was not a program for my laptop to make programming easier. However, Fender made it so easy that you do not need it. The videos on the Sweetwater go above and beyond how to explain programing presets 3) By far, this is the easiest MIDI controller to program.

I can not believe I went this long without a switching system.

Excellent Quality and Features
I loved everything about this unit. It's very very easy to learn how to use. It didn't color my tone at all. The menus are very easy to use and learn and very colorful.

In the end I did return it as it didn't have enough loops for my needs. If there was a larger version I would have purchased it instead.

I'd definitely recommend to a friend.
Excellent Switcher! Fantastic collaboration between Fender and RJM!
I was a Boss ES-5 user for several years, and switched over to the Fender Switchboard. The units are comparable in that both offer 5 re-orderable loops, the ability to store presets, the ability to send midi PC & CC messages, and control of your amp's footswitch for channel switching, etc..

From an easy of use / ease of navigation standpoint, the Switchboard wins by a mile, and it's not even close. It's like comparing a modern day Mac O/S like Big Sur to MS-DOS. Another area where I think the Switchboard wins is the buffer quality, and I feel that my overall rig sounds better with the Switchboard than it did with the ES-5. Yet another benefit of the Fender unit is the onboard tuner.

The ES-5 does have several features that aren't on the Switchboard. For example, the ES-5 includes a gain boost function, and the ability to put loops in parallel. The ES-5 is also more customizable in that you can reassign button functions.

It’s impossible to imagine a world without Fender guitars, and if you’re like many of the guitarists at Sweetwater, then Fender not only made the first guitar you ever bought " they made the last one too! From building the first mass-produced solidbody electric guitars and basses in the 1950s to creating some of the most influential amplifier designs in history, it’s no wonder why Fender is one of the biggest names in the business. As one of the world’s largest Fender dealers, we have countless guitars, basses, amps, effects pedals, and accessories in stock and ready to ship, whenever you need them. We’re always getting our hands on their latest creations, and there’s nothing we love more than to tell our customers all about them!
