Sound Toys Speed is the pitch and tempo shifting plug-in Sweetwater Sales Engineers have been recommending longer than nearly any other. Designed specifically to integrate with the Pro Tools TCE (Time Compression/Expansion) tool, Speed lets you make dramatic alterations to the pitch and timing of your audio, without degrading your material with nasty artifacts. By default, Sound Toys speed presents you with its Simple Mode for easy operation. You get two big knobs and two corresponding value fields, allowing you to either adjust your selection by ear (using real-time auditioning) or to input the exact values that you want. Either way, Speed's Simple Mode makes it fast and easy to get great results.

If you're ready to get creative with pitch and time effects, then Speed's Graphic Mode will rock your world. Using a rather minimalist graphic display, Speed lets you draw in timing and pitch-adjustment curves. That makes it easy to create cool sound effects and transitions, but it also comes in handy if you need to fix subtle timing errors or manually correct for warble. You can even use Speed's Graphic Mode to humanize audio tracks that have been ruined by quantization!

When you know exactly what you want to accomplish, Speed's Calculator Mode is just what you need. Just enter the tempo or key you're in and the one you want to be in and Speed takes care of the heavy lifting. Talk about easy!
