Focusrite designed the Saffire PRO 14 to put pro quality in your desktop or mobile rig, and that's exactly what it delivers. In addition to this 24-bit/96kHz interface's two premium Focusrite preamps and XLR combo inputs, the Saffire PRO 14 gives you a pair of hi-Z inputs; it's ready for both mics and instruments - no need for an additional DI! Use bus power and take the Saffire PRO 14 on the road, or choose the included power supply. You get an elegantly clean front-panel layout, with a pair of gain knobs, a monitor level knob, a dedicated headphone volume control, and a phantom power switch. The XLR combo jacks are also conveniently located on the front of the Saffire PRO 14. You also get S/PDIF and MIDI I/O!

The Saffire PRO 14 isn't just a premium FireWire interface. It's an in-the-box recording solution! The onboard Saffire MixControl DSP mixer/router gives you amazingly flexible routing capability, so you can take full advantage of the great sound you get from the interface. The DSP mixer works with exceptionally low latency, for accurate, comfortable monitoring. Focusrite bundled the Saffire PRO 14 with an astounding collection of processing plug-ins, virtual synths, loops, and Ableton Live Lite DAW software. Plus, in addition to the Red 2 and Red 3 Plug-in Suite, all Saffire audio interfaces include Softube's Time and Tone Pack, a unique plug-in bundle comprised of Softube's world-class TSAR-1R reverb, Tube Delay, and Saturation Knob.

All Focusrite FireWire interfaces are fully compatible with Thunderbolt using a simple FireWire to Thunderbolt adapter. Focusrite fully supports the use of Thunderbolt with its FireWire interfaces.
