A compact SVT cabinet!

The SVT-210AV is a pint-sized cabinet that's chock-full of the same classic tone that made the original SVT such a bass powerhouse. The SVT-210AV is perfect for recording or live sound situations where the SVT 8 x 10 is too much horsepower, but you still want the SVT sound that has been the industry standard for nearly four decades. The perfect companion to the SVT-210AV is the SVT Micro Head, a compact 150-watt head. For situations where you need SVT sound without SVT volume or girth, the SVT-210AV is a perfect choice.

Ampeg SVT-210AV at a Glance:
  • SVT sound
  • Perfect for lower volume situations

SVT sound
The sound and feel of the legendary SVT is alive and well in the SVT-210AV. The Ampeg SVT-210AV is the portable alternative to a full-sized SVT cab. Ideal for bleed-sensitive recording situations where the SVT-810AV can be too loud and live situations where it can be too large, the SVT-210AV is designed using Ampeg's legendary Infinite Baffle system for maximum speaker efficiency and true Ampeg tone. All the punch and crunch that makes the full-sized SVT the sound of bass - a title the SVT has held since 1969 - is in there, just a bit less of it. Because its bigger siblings weigh in much heavier, the SVT-210AV's compact size makes it easier to lug from gig to gig.

Perfect for lower volume situations
Sometimes the gig doesn't require the sheer amount of horsepower afforded by the size of the traditional SVT line. The SVT-210AV fits this bill beautifully, with an ample, but not overpowering, 200 watts of power handling at 8 ohms. Don't forget the head with the SVT Micro Head.

Ampeg SVT-210AV Features:
  • 2 x 10" Eminence speakers
  • RMS power handling of 200 watts at 8 ohms
  • Frequency response (-3dB) of 58Hz-5kHz
  • Usable low frequency (-10dB) of 40Hz
  • Nominal impedance of 8 ohms (mono)

Insane full Ampeg sound in a carry-on package!

Have had mine for over 4 years. Players come up to me at a break and ask where the bass amp was. Actually it was behind a chair plugged into the board via DI. Pump this up with a 1,000W PA and you have that great Ampeg sound without needing a U-Haul to carry the cabs!!! Fabulous piece of engineering.

Really surprised with this amp

I'm an Engineer/Songwriter, and I've been on the hunt for an affordable recording bass amp. If you're like me, you may have noticed a serious lack choices perfect for that application. I read a lot of reviews on this amp, mixed reviews. Its hard to trust any of them, I know. Well when I finally got around to demoing one out, I must say I was completely blown away. This thing has tone to boot. A really tight low end that just screams "RECORD ME!", well at least that's what I thought it said. Its the perfect sound for me. I don't slap, I don't do thin punk or metal sounds, I just need a good bass that rounds out a song. This is it. It does get plenty loud, I never pushed it beyond 11 o'clock on both gain and master. But I don't care about how loud it gets, it sounds fantastic at lower volumes, which is a huge plus. I also demoed a very similar looking product from Acoustic, and it had tons of bass... and nothing else. I tried very hard to find a nice character or definition in it... not even close to the ampeg. So long story short, trust me, if you need a recording amp for bass, at least keep this on your short list!
