Front-firing Bass That Fills Out Any System
The S6 powered subwoofer drops into any system with a spare output — be it a pair of powered desktop speakers, a stereo receiver, or a turntable rig — and hands the low end over to a dedicated 6-inch woofer with a dedicated Class D amplifier. The woofer fires forward out of a sealed cabinet, so the bass stays tight and controlled even with the sub tucked under a desk, and a variable crossover plus a phase switch on the rear panel let you dial the S6 in to complement the speakers you already own. Finally, auto-sleep standby shuts down the amplifier the moment the audio stops. When you add the S6 to your system, the records, films, and games you already enjoy will gain a new foundation that you can feel.

Tune it to your room, not the other way around
The S6's rear panel puts a variable crossover in your hands, adjustable from 40 to 130Hz, so you decide exactly where the subwoofer picks up from your main speakers. A 0 and 180-degree phase switch flips polarity when the sub and the speakers are working against each other, and a dedicated level control balances the bottom end against the rest of the system. Sweetwater home audio experts say that having these controls on the sub itself means you don't need a receiver with bass management to get a clean handoff. A few minutes of adjusting these settings ensures a low end that supports the rest of your audio.

Connect it and forget it
The S6 sports RCA left and right inputs alongside a 1/8-inch stereo mini-jack, making it compatible with a receiver's subwoofer output, the variable output on a pair of Audioengine powered speakers, or a phono preamp. Once it’s connected, the auto-sleep circuit shuts the amplifier down when no signal arrives and wakes it the instant you hit play, draining under a watt of power while it waits. Furthermore, the sealed cabinet measures roughly 10 inches on a side, so the S6 slides under a desk or beside a console without demanding the floor space a ported box needs to operate. Connect it, set your crossover and levels, and brace yourself for your favorite media’s enhanced impact.
