Battery Eliminator

I didn't want to keep going through batteries so added this to purchase of Tascam CD-GT2. Consider it a necessary, not optional accessory.

Tascam DP-008EX

I was extremely pleased with this equipment. Since I've never used one of these before, it was all new. However, this multi-track recorder, is very user friendly. All the functions were organized in a natural order and grouping, so I was up and running almost immediately. The quality is just what I needed. Recording is easy, I can move tracks around to add or change up. Over-dubbing is easy, and saving off to a .WAV file couldn't be better. A good find for someone who wants a small, portable, but effective unit. Of course, it uses power quickly, so the power supply is a must. The chance to talk to the knowledgeable sales support was invaluable. Thanks. Couldn't be more pleased.

It works as it should

It has a real power cord! (I hate wall-warts they take up several outlets.) Nice that it has a non polarized 115V plug, sometimes I record in a historic home that only has 2-pin non-polarized ac outlets. (Yes some homes in RI are still like this!)

Does What It's Supposed to Do

It's a little hard to get excited about a power supply, but it's a lot cheaper than the replacement power supply for my laptop. The one feature I have to say something positive about is the fact that--between the wall-to-unit cord and the unit-to-recorder cord, I seldom need an extension cord. Anyhow, this unit keeps me from using batteries except for maybe five minutes a week, so it will pay for itself over time. As I said in my title, this power supply does what it's supposed to do. And it seems to do it well.

you need it if you don't want to keep swappin' batteries.

it is what it is. Its a power supply that, in my opinion, should be included with the purchased equipment.... but then you don't get the price deal on the equipment...
