Analog Turntable Technology at its Best!

The Pioneer Pro DJ PLX-1000 direct-drive turntable offers the kind of performance that has DJs retiring their classic rigs. Its high-torque platter gets up to speed and stable in under a third of a second, making hot starts and scratches as precise as any turntable we've seen at Sweetwater. Three tempo ranges and a reset button makes beat matching incredibly flexible. What's more, few Hi-Fi turntables can compete with the sound of the PLX-1000, which offers magnificent clarity and next to no noise. Pioneer even eliminated sound of the PLX-1000's Start/Stop button.

Pioneer Pro DJ PLX-1000 Direct-drive Turntable Features:
  • High-torque direct-drive turntable engineered to meet the demands of today's top DJs and clubs
  • User-friendly layout makes seasoned professionals feel right at home with this turntable
  • Quartz lock servo direct-drive motor provides stable rotation in just .3 seconds at 33-1/3 rpm
  • Superior electronics get the best possible sound quality from your vinyl
  • Start/Stop button noise almost completely eliminated for smoother operation
  • Die-cast aluminum platter provides an absolutely stable feel under your fingertips
  • Cast high-mass zinc body on 8mm resin base with 9mm damping surface minimizes vibration
  • Rubber tubing inside the S-shaped tone arm dramatically decreases howling
  • Ultra-stable RCA and power connections recessed so that cables don't stick out beyond the footprint
  • Tempo control with 3 selectable ranges (+/-8/16/50%) and reset button provides extra precision
  • Rough underside on left and right sides provides excellent grip for carrying
The Pioneer Pro DJ PLX-1000 delivers the next generation of precision analog DJ performance!

Great product a little on the heavier side but solid

Great deal on a Turn table

I read in Stereophile Magazine that this was one of the best turntables for HiFI listening under 2K. Well it is. I could not be happier with my purchase. I am running the The PLX-1000 as a stereo system turn table only and it flat out rocks! I am running it with a Zu audio Dl-103 cartridge and it is a giant killer. What a great set up for the audiophile on a budget or the audiophile who just wants a great table. Highly recommend this turntable. I ordered it form Sweetwater as many high end Audio dealers don't carry the PLX-1000 and having dealt with Sweetwater before I knew that they have the best customer service in the business. 100% satisfied!

Exception Audio Output so much for few $$$

Classical music to Classic Rock this plays them all with power and finesse. My Beethoven and Bach is as powerful and as moving as EL & P's Brain Salad Surgery and Kansas'es Point of No Return... and Judas Priest is eating a hole thru the wall. For the under 2000.00$US I don't think I have seen better in the last 3 or 4 years. So.... hat's off to Pioneer one more time! Bless you guys, don't ever change, we love ya like you are. As a rocker from the 70's,80's,90's,00's, and now... it good to know that some wonderful things never change in a bad way. Keep it up!

Great Turntable

Have tried a few of the newer turntables in this price range and was not impressed; got this to replace an old 1975 Pioneer turntable and this thing rocks. Very full and warm sound and extremely well built.

May Be The Next Industry Standard DJ Turntable

Pioneer made some great choices designing this deck. I always considered a Hanpin Super OEM but just couldn't get into the raised platter and tonearm. The PLX-1000 is the only one that copied the Technics design with the recessed platter and tonearm. Probably doesn't make a performance difference, but more pleasing to the eye in my opinion. Very glad Pioneer didn't go overboard with all the bells and whistles available on other decks. Looks like their goal was to replace the Technics 1210M5G. Build quality is very solid. Very good looking. Nice finish and color scheme. The feel of the buttons and fader has the right amount of tension. There is more play in the tonearm bearing compared to the Technics. However, seems fine after hours of mixing and scratching. No skipping. Nothing to worry about. Cool features include removable RCA cables, power, and ground wire. They didn't skimp on the RCA cables; very descent quality. Switchable 120V/220V. I like these hingeless dustcovers better than the Technics. My only gripe is the black paint markings on the tonearm. It's just not as fine as the Technics. I use these decks strictly for Serato timecode. Sorry can't give an opinion on sound quality. If you do not have a Sweetwater sales representative, ask for Chris Carter. He will take care of you.
