Reviews

Fits like a glove. Extremely beautiful.
I'm floored by this case. It's absurdly high quality; from the stitching to the details (Moog logos everywhere!) to the sturdiness of the handles and strap. Also has way more pockets than I expected. I wish all of my instruments had cases with such great attention to detail. Fits my vintage Model D perfectly, although very snugly.
Sturdy bag, and IT FITS
The one-star review really almost scared me off buying this but, because there are no other options (aside from the $ hard case), I gave it a try. The Minimoog FITS IN IT. Proof is in the pictures. NGL, it's a SNUG fit, like, it has to go in perfectly straight or it won't go in. But once it's in there -- and there's NO need to force it -- it's totally fine and the zippers will not touch it. That padding feels serious, like if you bumped it against a door, the Minimoog isn't even going to feel it. Nor is the Minimoog going to rattle around it there; it can't. There's about 2" clearance of the wood from the zippers and if you put it in properly, there's cushion from the zippers even at the corners. The quality feels premium and I'm not concerned about handles or straps failing. The bag is solid. The front pocket goes all the way across and there are more pockets inside that one, which was a nice surprise.

I would definitely recommend this bag and as you can see, IT FITS.

Trust me, it fits fine
I work for the Bob Moog Foundation and this is a trusted bag that we use to transport vintage Minimoog Model D synthesizers. It's snug, very soft and cushy on the inside, and reliable. I wanted to leave this review because there were a few low-star reviews that are reporting inaccurate descriptions. I'll be purchasing a second one for personal use in the near term. :-)
Nice case tight fit, but not too small
This case is very similar to the Moog Matriarch case, which I've had two of for years, for my two Matriarchs. I never had any problems. They protect instruments really well (though not suitable for airline travel; you'll need a flight case for that). Some claim it is too small for a Minimoog. It is a tight fit, but not too tight. Here's the deal: you cannot drop the Minimoog straight in, and if you put it in back first or side first, it will not go in, but if you put the KEY side (front) in first, it will squeeze right on in. I really like it. My only complaint is, I wish it had the backpack style straps of the Matriarch case. I like to be able to carry my Moog on my back, while carrying other items in my hands. This case does not have that option, so I just have to carry it like a normal keyboard case. Not a deal breaker though.
The bag is too small!
You can jam it into the case and clear the zippers but it's a serious labor getting it in. Way too tight for my comfort level. I don't want to be handling this device that aggressively to store it safely. The other reviews are correct that it technically fits but it is still way too small to get the unit in and out of the case with ease. It's possible it could break in over time. If your model d isn't mint or you don't care about it being uncomfortably snug it will work. Very expensive case though considering the fit.

Want real Moog sound? Take it from the die-hard analog synth masters here at Sweetwater: buy a Moog. It doesn't matter which one; their synths start at top quality and only go up from there. Sweetwater's relationship with Moog goes way back, and some of us fondly remember the last time Bob himself came to visit. Over the years, we've had the honor of watching Moog grow and evolve, and with synthesis experts like Daniel Fisher on staff, we're still one of the first companies to catch wind of new Moog products - they never fail to impress! Whether it's a classic reissue, a breakthrough new keyboard, or even a cool effects pedal, you can be sure anything you get from Moog will make you happy, and we'd love to tell you all about it.
