Your Ticket to a Healthy Signal Chain

Is your guitar signal weak? Does it suffer from lackluster high end and flaccid bass? Do your pickups behave erratically? If your signal chain includes only true-bypass pedals and lots of cable, you probably have a capacitance problem. Sweetwater has a solution! Plug your guitar straight into the JHS Little Black Buffer pedal, then out into your pedal chain. Because the Little Black Buffer provides the ideal input impedance for your rig, you'll immediately notice your guitar sound is revitalized with full, natural tone that sounds like you're plugged straight into your amp — no matter how many pedals you use. The JHS Little Black Buffer pedal: it's a small price to pay for tonal perfection.

JHS pedals are handcrafted tone machines

When you plug your guitar into a JHS pedal like the Little Black Buffer, you're tapping into care and passion that few manufacturers put into their products. Each JHS pedal is handbuilt and tested by the JHS team in Kansas City, Missouri. Because they design their pedals for specific musical purposes, we're sure there's a JHS pedal that's perfect for any player's rig.

  • Delivers robust, natural tone that sounds like you're plugged straight into your amp
  • Plug your guitar straight into the input, then out into your pedal chain
  • Sounds great no matter how many pedals you use
  • Ultra-compact form factor takes up very little space on your pedalboard

Blues enthusiast
Is a good value. Yes, does it work? Yes, I have two of them. I use both paddles at the end of my chains I am going to try putting the buffer in front and on the end of one so don't change just to see what happens. I think that would be awesome. Unadulterated power.
Simply amazing
Watched the JHS video, ordered the item; simply amazing....
Great game changer in Tone
This pedal really does wonders to the clarity of your tone. I have to say I was a little skeptical that this small pedal would do a big difference to my tone and I’m glad to say it does! I run several pedals in my chain and have more cable from my amps and guitar that caused an issue in my tone. If you have the same problem I highly recommend this pedal.

Nice, small and does the job!
I have it at the end of my effects loop for now. It cleans my tone up well. The light is pretty bright(minus half a star).

Great Little Buffer (with a small *)
JHS makes great pedals and the LBB is no different. It solved a studio problem for me of signal loss when splitting my guitar signal between a direct input and my amp. Plugged it in and it was instantly solved. One small "*": The LBB wants to be on an isolated power supply or on it's own OneSpot. When I looped my OneSpot from the LBB to my T-Rex tuner and Pettyjohn EQ, I got a pronounced 60hZ hum. As soon as I unplugged the other pedals that were daisy-chained, it stopped. It doesn't do this with all pedals, so that might not be an issue for you. So, with a clean power source, it's a great little box. Get it!

Thanks to Josh for recommending.
